Crane Middle School Home

Thank you for visiting the Crane Middle School Web site. This is an especially exciting time to be a Crane Cougar!  The 2013 – 2014 school year will continue a focus on high school and college preparation.

Crane Middle School is a collaborative academic community. Our faculty works closely together developing common curriculum and assessments. This practice provides a cohesive academic experience for our students. In addition, students are placed on academic “teams” named after the continents.  This structure allows students to receive extra support and attention.

Our students excel inside and outside the classroom at Crane Middle School. Our student activities continue to be an integral part of the overall school experience.  We offer a variety of programs, sports and clubs.  The GAP Program (Gowan Achievement Project) is designed for students who excel academically and are highly motivated students.  Additionally, we have AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination)core classes which center on teaching students proper note taking skills, time management, organization, essay writing, and critical thinking to help them prepare for college.

As we travel through this school year, we invite you to participate as an active, integral part of our learning community.  We are excited about the upcoming year at Crane Middle School!  We appreciate the opportunity to teach your child and value the huge responsibility this entails.  Our students are our central focus and we want to do our very best.  If we ever disappoint you, please let us know, and we will do everything we can to make it right.
